Day-to-day administration of Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee Camps in Tamil Nadu, including provision of food, shelter, medical care, sanitation, education for children and vocational training for adults. Camp Officers coordinate with district administrations to ensure the welfare of all inmates and maintain updated records of all camp residents.

Facility for inmates to apply for transfer from one refugee camp to another based on genuine reasons such as employment, family reunification, medical treatment or education. Applications are processed through the Special Deputy Collector (Camps) after due verification.

Provision for former camp residents to seek re-admission into the camp after temporary absence for work, treatment or family emergencies. Applicants must submit valid identity proof and reason for re-admission along with prescribed forms.

Registration of each family unit residing in the camp with complete details of all members including children born within the camp. Registration is essential for receiving welfare benefits, ration cards and identity documents issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Camp inmates wishing to return to Sri Lanka voluntarily are issued Exit Permits through coordination with the UNHCR and the Sri Lankan High Commission. The process involves counselling, documentation and travel arrangements for safe return.

Special permission may be granted to camp residents to stay outside the camp temporarily for employment, higher education, medical treatment or family purposes. Permission is granted by the concerned authorities after due verification and is subject to periodic renewal.
