About PDOT
Pre-Departure Orientation and Training is a mandatory program designed by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for the migrants who travel to abroad for employment. The program equips migrants with essential knowledge about workplace safety, cultural adaptation, and legal rights in their destination countries.
Why PDOT?

Where are the PDOTs set up?
PDOT Centres have been established in 7 Districts of Tamil Nadu including Ramanathapuram, Pudukottai, Kanyakumari, Thanjavur, Perambalur, Sivagangai and Villupuram. These centres train Tamils going overseas and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to face the challenges they will encounter when they migrate for education and employment.
The training programs are conducted by experienced trainers and cover a comprehensive curriculum designed to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of Tamil migrants abroad. All participants receive certification upon successful completion of the program.
