The NRT Welfare Board provides Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) to support families of overseas Tamils who lost their primary earning member due to death while working abroad
The Non-Resident Tamils who migrate to foreign countries for employment, mostly as unskilled or semi-skilled workers. As they are often the primary breadwinners of their families, their unexpected death abroad causes severe financial hardship to their dependents.
The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) to the families of Overseas Tamils who lose their primary earning member due to death while working abroad.
Required Documents: Passport of the deceased, Death Certificate issued by the foreign country, Visa, Work Permit, Legal Heir Certificate, Income Certificate, Aadhaar Card
Application & Implementation Process: The application must be submitted within nine (9) months from the date of death. Applications must be submitted through the official website. Applications will be processed with the recommendation of the District Collector will be given to economically weaker families with an annual income not exceeding Rs. 1.20 lakh.
Families of Welfare Board members who died while working in foreign countries.
The deceased person must have been a registered member of the Tamil Nadu Non-Resident Tamils Welfare Board.
The deceased must have been employed abroad with valid and legal documents at the time of death.

Upon approval of your application, the funds will be disbursed to your bank account.
If you are eligible, you will receive a one-time payment of Rs. 1,00,000/-.
