To facilitate safe investment by NRT by arranging MOU with agencies

1. Tamils ​​have traditionally gone to foreign countries for employment. Currently many Tamils ​​run well-established business in foreign countries or hold high positions in multinational companies. They are very keen to invest their savings in Tamil Nadu.

2. There are two kinds of investments in this. The first is those who can invest large amounts in industrial enterprises. The second category is those who want to safely invest their savings in small amounts.

3. Also, in what kind of investments does overseas Tamils ​​want to make their investments or do they want to invest in existing government-owned companies? Or like government advice on private investments? Such details are to be known.

4. But at present the scale and type of investment is not yet know. In this scenario, in respect of large investments, the industries department already has a well-established platform called “YadumOore” which is implemented by the Guidance Bureau, Industries Department.

5. Therefore, in respect of the applications regarding large-scale investments will be redirected to the Guidance Bureau, Industries Department.

6. In respect of small & medium investment as the quantum and tupe is not known it is proposed to the Government to appoint an advisory committee consisting of the following officers to examine the applications received from Non-Resident Tamils ​​regarding small investments.
