The objective of this scheme is to provide a stable source of income and financial security to the migrant Tamils ​​who return to Tamil Nadu later in their lives and to the families of migrant Tamils ​​who are suffering from the loss of the main breadwinner of the family.

This pension scheme is an addition to NRT ID card holders, people can join this scheme ​​at their will.

  1. For Accidental death Rs.10 lakh and for permanent disability / disability Rs.5 lakh will be provided.

  2. In case of permanent disability / disability / inability to carry on work (or) study due to accident, air ticket will be arranged for return to Tamil Nadu with an attendant. Also, a two-way ticket will be arranged for the accompanying attendant as per requirement.

Employees and students aged between18 to 55 are eligible to enroll under this scheme.

Must be living or working abroad with passport and employment documents valid for at least 6 months.

  1. Must have NRT ID card.

  2. Should be a person between 18 to 55 years.

  3. Must have contributed to the pension scheme for not less than five years. The pension is determined according to the duration of contribution like 5 years, 10 years, 10 to 20 years and more than 20 years.

Students already pursuing higher education outside Tamil Nadu also can apply.

On the death of a member who has contributed for a period of not less than five years, his family becomes eligible for family pension.

Consultations are underway with the Insurance Companies to form a specified insurance plan for the Non-Resident Tamils.

Tamils, who go abroad for employment education etc., face tremendous problems in case of death, accident or any medical issue. Most of the time, when the person who is the main bread winner faces such situation, the family is unable to cope up with the financial situation which emerges. In order to assist them in times of distress Hon’ble Chief Minister had announced that an Insurance Scheme will be initiated for those persons who register themselves in the board.

  2. Kidney failure

  3. For medical and injury – uptoRs. 11 lakh.

  4. Primary pulmonary arterial Hypertension

  5. Multiple Sclerosis

  6. Major organ transplant

  7. Coronary artery by-pass grafts

  8. Aorta graft surgery

  9. Heart Valve surgery

  10. Stroke

  11. Myocardial Infarction (First heart attack)

  12. Coma

  13. Total Blindness

  14. Paralysis

  1. Passport Copy (First & Last page).

  2. Visa / Civil ID / Employment Certificate / Iqama copy.

  3. For Students Id Card College / University Identity card copy.

  4. Applicants Photo and Signature.
