The NRT ID card is a bridge to connect Tamils living outside Tamil Nadu with the Government of Tamil Nadu. Applicants should have worked outside Tamil Nadu within India or abroad.
The primary objective of creating the database is to enable NRTs to access welfare schemes and services more efficiently. This might include financial assistance, healthcare support, Insurance, education benefits, marriage assistance, pension and more. The identity card can serve as proof of their status and eligibility for these schemes.
NRT ID card to be renewed every three years.
First time registration fee per card is Rs. 200/- (to be renewed within 3 years)

Who Can Apply?
Age: 18 to 55 years.
Must have a VISA valid for at least 6 months.

One time registration fee RS- 200 Enroll before March 31st for INR 5 lakhs coverage:
NRT Board subsidizes INR 266, and your cost is only INR 200 with an enrollment fee of INR 466.

Insurance Coverage for INR 5 Lakhs and INR 10 Lakhs includes protection against:
Opt for extra coverage for specific critical illnesses, increasing the maximum coverage to INR 1 lakh.
Additional registration fee: INR 550 plus applicable GST.
Insurance will expire in three years from the date of registration. It should be renewed within three months before the date of expiration.
General Terms and Conditions:
Existing disease/ critical illness will not be covered in this scheme.
Certificate from registered medical practitioner for the critical illness mentioned above should be submitted to claim the insurance.
An insured can claim the insurance for each critical illness listed above only once.
