TAs per the announcement of Hon’ble Chief Minister, January 12th of every year is being celebrated as the “World Tamil Diaspora Day”. This is to celebrate the contribution of the Tamil Diaspora, to integrate the Tamils living in abroad and also to encourage them. It also aims to showcase the Tamil Heritage, art, literature and Culture and to bring it to the next generation.
During the year 2022, due to covid pandemic, the celebration was organized on January 12th in a hybrid mode with the theme “ThamizhalInaivom”.
