Tamizhar Thadam is a free and open-access web-based repository created to study, document, and preserve the migration history, data, and lived experiences of Tamils residing across the world.

In line with the announcement made by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, this platform has been developed with the objective of comprehensively researching and documenting the migration histories of Tamils who, across various periods, have migrated from Tamil Nadu to foreign countries and other states of India for education, employment, business, and other reasons.

From the colonial period to contemporary times, Tamizhar Thadam serves as a platform to record and share historical narratives, research articles, migration studies, and the personal experiences of the Tamil diaspora.
