The Government of Tamil Nadu has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 1 crore as Revolving fund to incur the expenditure in connection with the transportation of mortal remains of the deceased Non-Resident Tamils and for repatriation of Tamil Nationals in distress/ Medical Invalidation.

The Government has also authorized the Principal Secretary / Commissioner of Rehabilitation to sanction amount to the affected families of the Non-Resident Tamils, subject to some eligibility conditions mentioned in the Government order.

Through the Revolving Fund and other means, this Commissionerate has assisted 1,776 Non-Resident Tamils and their families as on 30-06-2021.
